THE DARKSIDE OF BOURBON ST is just prior to entering the commercial portion of Bourbon St., located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Bourbon St. is located in the French Quarter and know to many for all the partying and celebrations that are held in this area. The street was named to give honor to France's ruling family, the House of Bourbon after the French claimed Louisiana as a colony in 1690's. In 1803 the Americans gained control of the colony through the Louisiana Purchase.
