Description

Mr and Mrs were spotted at the lake by our house, Brinton Lake, located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The pair was perched on some downed tree branches that drifted from the shore and were snagged in the middle of the lake. I spotted them as I was driving home from the gym. This a very rare sighting at our lake. I drove home, jump out of the car, went inside to grab my camera thinking they would not be there by the time I got back, why was I rushing. So I decided to take the chance anyway. When I got to the spot I was really surprised they were still there, looking straight ahead, not even paying any attention to me. I snapped my first shot. The one turned it's head and looked right at me, probably heard the sound of my shutter. I snapped this shot and before I had the camera lowered they both flew away. That was two years ago. I haven't seen them at the lake again.
