Amaryllis-Another Christmas Flower. Growing up, my father purchased these bulbs for my mom who was a avid gardener. After a few attempts of getting it to rebloom, they both gave up on the bulbs. I always admired the lovely blooms but never really thought about giving them a chance until this year, I decided, why not give it a try. So I purchased to bulb kits. I must admit, getting them to bloom was very easy. Just plant the bulb, place it in a sunny location, water it and watch it grow. It bloomed a little later, missing Christmas by a week and a half but the blooms are gorgeous and really big. Now is the big challenge-keeping it alive and healthy until next Christmas. Hopefully I will succeed! If not, I will just buy another kit.
