Description
Aruba-Wild and Crazy Cacti. This image was taken while exploring the wild side of Aruba. Aruba is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea. It is 20 miles long and 6 miles across. Together with Bonaire and CuraƧao, they are known as the ABC islands or the Dutch Caribbean. The climate of Aruba is arid and dry. One side of the island is tropical, which is where tourist development has occurred, the other side a desertlike, cactus strewn landscape with a rocky coastline. Aruba lies outside of Hurricane Alley so it really sustains damage from these violent storms.
